Congratulations to ITS Employee of the Month, Sheryl Alexander!
Information Technology Solutions is proud to recognize ITS desktop support technician, Sheryl Alexander, as our Employee of the Month for May 2019. Sheryl has been garnering a multitude of accolades from her customers recently for her excellent work supporting the campus community.
According to Phyllis Franco, Manager of the ITS Computer Support Group, “Sheryl always comes in early to start the day off checking support tickets and making phone calls. She works well with every team member and has demonstrated a willingness to help her peers with her tremendous knowledge she has gained from her 25+ years of experience at UCR. She is always ready to help, stays positive, and knows how to keep her customers happy and successful.”
Recently, Sheryl has received numerous positive comments from surveys linked to her support tickets. One happy customer said, “IT issues can be frustrating and at times can prevent us from moving forward on specific tasks or even stop us dead in our tracks from working. Sheryl is empathetic with her customers, she understands the frustration and the urgency on the customer's end and works immediately to resolve the issue. Her passion and excitement for what she does shows 100% and you get the feeling from her that she truly enjoys her job, and that is a comforting feeling to a customer.”
According to Sheryl, it felt amazing to be honored as the employee of the month for ITS. “I know how busy people are on this campus and knowing that my customers took time out of their busy day to write such kind reviews of my service left me walking on a cloud,” she said. Sheryl added, “Doing my job here allows me to fix things and help people; two of my favorite things to do.”
