Wex Email About Address Changes
Some UC employees may have received an email from WEX Health about a change in information in their online WEX account. This change is in error and is being corrected. The error is not the result of a security breach and UC employee data has not been compromised.
WEX will complete corrections by September 9, 2021. Once complete, affected employees will receive two emails from WEX: one explaining what happened, and one similar to the message sent on September 8, 2021, which notes their account information has been updated. No action is required by employees.

Discovery/WEX is indeed associated with UC benefits spending accounts. The message was due to an error on the WEX data feed, there was no security breach just some sort of data mistake at WEX.

Yes. The issue was reported to UCOP and they started working with WEX to identify the issue. The issue has been identified and is a data feed error, and will be corrected September 9.
