Writing complex technical papers, theses, and journal articles is about to get a lot easier for the UC Riverside research community. Information Technology Solutions (ITS), in collaboration with Research and Economic Development (RED), are pleased to announce the launch of an enterprise subscription for Overleaf, the premier collaborative, cloud-based LaTeX editor.
Overleaf is a tool designed to remove the friction of version control and the common "LaTeX-headaches" often associated with technical writing. Whether you are a seasoned LaTeX pro or just starting your first research paper, Overleaf simplifies the process by offering:
Overleaf Professional is live and UCR faculty, researchers, and graduate students are now able to log in with their UCR NetID credentials.
Depending on your current use of Overleaf, here is how you can seamlessly transition to the UCR enterprise license:
Please note that Overleaf can only confirm one UCR email address on an account, and this will be the version of your email that is sent to Overleaf when you log in. If you run into any errors or have any questions about adding or confirming your UCR email address, please reach out to Overleaf support (support@overleaf.com).
3. Once you have linked your Overleaf account to UCR SSO, please use SSO to sign in to your Overleaf account going forward. You can do this from the UCR Overleaf portal page (www.overleaf.com/edu/ucr) or from the main Overleaf login page. Logging in with SSO is what confirms your affiliation with UCR and verifies your eligibility for participating in UCR's Overleaf subscription.
Simply visit the UCR Overleaf Portal and click "Log in via SSO." Your professional account will be automatically created, and you can immediately start using pre-loaded templates.
