UC Riverside is offering the Lecturer Device Program for Local 18 to lecturers belonging to the UC-AFT Unit 18 union. Through this program, Unit 18 lecturers may obtain a university-owned device that’s equipped with the UCR Security Toolset, and therefore compliant with UC Cybersecurity Mandate 2025.
How to Request a Device
Eligible lecturers interested in utilizing the Lecturer Device Program may follow the guidance in ITS Knowledge Base article KB0012312 titled “How to Request a Local 18 Lecturers Union Laptop through the ITS Service Portal.” The program’s service request form is accessible through the IT Service Portal. Be sure to select “Lecturer Device Program - Local 18” as the request type.
After submitting the Hardware Request form, an ITS staff member will reach out to coordinate the device pickup from the Computing & Communication Center.
