This initiative is designed to equip students with critical AI and job-ready skills, providing free access to industry-recognized tools, training, and certification. 

How to Get Started

Access to the Google AI for Education Accelerator is available at no cost to all enrolled UCR students, but it is a limited time offer! UCR students have until October 6, 2025, to sign up to take advantage of this free resource, which provides access to Google AI Pro and Google training and certification programs for one year: Sign Up Now. 

Key Resources and Benefits 

The Google AI for Education Accelerator provides UCR students with one-year access to a suite of powerful tools and professional development opportunities.

• A more powerful Gemini: As an advanced AI model, Gemini can act as a personal study and writing assistant. Students can use Gemini to break down complex topics, draft academic papers, or generate practice quizzes based on their lecture notes. Its enhanced capabilities streamline research and content creation, helping students work more efficiently. The Accelerator program goes beyond the offerings of your current UCR Gemini account with advanced features and higher daily limits.  
• Expanded limits in NotebookLM: This AI-powered tool is a dedicated research and note-taking assistant. By uploading lecture slides, PDFs, or personal documents, students can use NotebookLM to summarize key information, ask questions, and find connections across their sources. This tool is designed to enhance research and organization, turning personal notes into a dynamic, interactive knowledge base. Your Accelerator account will have expanded limits that allow you to add more sources and longer documents, and even generate video tutorials. 
• Google Training and Career Certificates: This program offers flexible online training in high-demand fields. Developed by Google and validated by leading employers, these certificates provide hands-on experience and verifiable credentials that can be added to a resume. Available certificate paths include Data Analytics, Project Management, and Cybersecurity, among others.
