Palo Alto (GlobalProtect) VPN Sunsetting on March 11 as UCR Transitions to New Campus VPN

On March 11, 2026, UC Riverside will decommission its old virtual private network (VPN), Palo Alto (GlobalProtect). This follows the launch of the new campus VPN, Cisco Secure (AnyConnect), in October 2025.

To ensure continued access to the campus VPN, users of GlobalProtect VPN should transition to using Cisco Secure (AnyConnect). The campus VPN upgrade is part of Information Technology Solutions’ (ITS) efforts to further improve UCR’s network infrastructure.
