Josh Bright is UCR's Interim Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer. He has over 24 years of broad experience across the field of information technology, including project and program management, enterprise systems development, technical support, and infrastructure.

Josh has been a member of the UC Riverside community since 2001 in a variety of roles: as a Ph.D. student, a TA and Associate Instructor, and a full-time staff member in several technology leadership positions.

As Interim CIO he leads the Information Technology Solutions organization, sets IT direction, and provides guidance and oversite to functional areas including enterprise infrastructure, information security, enterprise applications, student information systems, and campus support and service assessment. He uses his experience and skills as a leader and collaborator to guide ITS in providing effective information technology services to UCR in support of the campus’ mission of teaching, research, and public service.
