About the Program

UC Riverside and Google Cloud have entered into a research partnership to create unprecedented research computing opportunities for UCR faculty and researchers.  

The UC Riverside Research Program is designed to empower faculty and researchers to focus on important work and achieve reliable results in a fraction of the time by leveraging the research computing power of Google Cloud.

Through this program, select UCR researchers will have access to the expertise of Google Cloud Platform subject matter experts, specialized training and education opportunities, and promotional support. With these resources at their disposal, participants will be part of a pioneering group of researchers who are making historic advancements in their fields and leading the way for R1 institutions.

Participant Selection Criteria

To be eligible for the program, candidates must meet at least one of the criteria below:

Candidate has significant interest in bringing a new kind of research workload to the cloud via the Google Cloud Platform

Candidate has significant interest in co-innovating with Google Cloud to design a solution that could scale to other potential research opportunities

Candidate has significant interest in leading breakthrough research in a discipline that aligns with one of Google's priority research areas, which include AI/ML, climate, cybersecurity, and quantum computing
