ITS proudly recognizes Junior IT Business Analyst Fadi Zaki as the June 2024 Employee of the Month for his instrumental role in driving the implementation of ITS Governance and Workfront. Nominated by Edwin Meglar, Patrick Wagman, Rehan Tahir, and Kathy Rondeau-Taylor, Fadi’s contributions have been invaluable in advancing key ITS initiatives and ensuring their successful rollouts.
Ever since he took on his role, Fadi has consistently demonstrated his commitment to excellence with his can-do attitude and his readiness to learn and accept challenges. His good rapport with his teammates also hasn’t gone unnoticed. While he does a great job performing project intake, gathering requirements, and mapping processes, what has truly set him apart is the effort he has poured into supporting the rollout of the new ITS Governance structure and setting up Workfront, ITS’ new project management tool. Fadi’s proactive approach and willingness to go above and beyond his defined role have been crucial in keeping these projects on track.
As the business analyst and program coordinator for the ITS Governance project, Fadi works closely with stakeholders. He meticulously coordinates meetings, drafts communications, and actively maintains the project’s momentum in the face of challenges, demonstrating his unwavering commitment.
Business Engagement Manager Edwin Melgar commended Fadi’s diligence in managing the project:
"Fadi has been diligent in managing the overall implementation timeline, working with stakeholders on documentation, coordinating the rollout meetings, and keeping the project moving forward. With various efforts and circumstances reducing the available PMO resources, I can adamantly say that the Governance rollout would not have moved forward as planned without him."
In addition to his work on Governance, Fadi also played a key role in the Workfront implementation. His background in computer science, coupled with his resourcefulness, inquisitive mind, and customer service-oriented approach, made him a good fit for the project. Fadi developed a process to import ServiceNow data into Workfront, iterating it to improve efficiency and facilitate the Agile onboarding of teams. His efforts have been indispensable in ensuring the successful adoption of Workfront across ITS.
Associate Director of the PMO Patrick Wagman recognized Fadi’s contributions to key ITS projects:
"Fadi has proven to be an invaluable asset to multiple ITS initiatives. His work on the ITS Governance implementation has kept the initiative on schedule, and his support during the Workfront rollout has been crucial. He has demonstrated that he is capable of working and thinking outside the box, and his support of the PMO and larger ITS organization during these projects has been invaluable."
Fadi’s proactive approach, attention to detail, and commitment to supporting his colleagues have made him a vital part of the PMO team. Executive Director of the PMO Kathy Rondeau-Taylor also shared her personal experience working with Fadi:
"During my absence, Fadi stepped right in on some of my tasks and ensured [that] the implementation moved forward without missing a beat. When I returned, he filled me in on all the details and next steps. I am thankful he is on our team and for his proactiveness!"
Fadi’s work demonstrates his dedication, readiness to learn and accept challenges, and professionalism. His contributions have greatly enhanced the PMO and ITS as a whole, and his efforts continue to drive our initiatives forward. Congratulations, Fadi, on this well-deserved recognition!
